Terms of Service

Last updated: February 27, 2026

The short version: DeepWork is free software provided as-is. Use it however you like, but it comes with no warranties.

Acceptance of terms

By downloading or using DeepWork, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

What DeepWork is

DeepWork is a free macOS menu bar app that helps you stay focused using timed sessions, full-screen break reminders, and calendar-aware meeting alerts. It is developed by Hannah Wolfe as a personal project.

Cost

DeepWork is free to use. There are no paid features, subscriptions, or in-app purchases.

Google Calendar integration

DeepWork can optionally connect to Google Calendar to display meeting alerts. This feature uses Google's OAuth 2.0 for authentication and requests read-only access to your calendar events. You can disconnect at any time. See the Privacy Policy for details on how calendar data is handled.

No warranty

DeepWork is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

In no event shall the developer be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from the use of the software.

No guarantee of availability

DeepWork is a personal project. There is no guarantee of continued development, updates, bug fixes, or support. The app may be discontinued at any time.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for your use of DeepWork. The app displays full-screen overlays to remind you to take breaks — make sure this is appropriate for your workflow and environment.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
